Cultivating Safety Spray
For those of us who have deep trauma, it can be extremely difficult to feel safe in any area of our lives. Security feels like a remote island that we can never access. But we can systematically train ourselves to feel safe. By using this spray, and ensuring we are fully Grounded, ask yourself if there is any time in your day where you feel safe. Watching TV in the evening, wrapped up safe in a blanket? Cuddled up in bed with a partner or on your own? Walking through your favourite park with your furry best friend? Whatever your safe place is, even if it’s only a tiny amount of your day...take that feeling and Cultivate it. Remind yourself what it feels like and see if you can duplicate it in other areas of your life and home. Use this spray to “water” the seed of safety you are cultivating!
